Rainbow Sessions
Social-Emotional and Mindfulness Learning sessions to help children identify, understand and learn tools to experience the rainbow of emotions.
WHY Rainbow SessionS?
Do you have a child in your life that could benefit from Social-Emotional Learning?
The truth is EVERY child can benefit from SEL. Consider how many adults struggle to regulate their emotions and function properly in the world!
The time is now to prioritize social-emotional health and wellbeing in our children in order to create a more compassionate, loving and peaceful future.
WHAT ARE RAinBOW SessionS?
Rainbow Sessions are centered around social-emotional learning for students ages 6-12. These individualized social-emotional learning plans for small groups (3-4 students) or one-on-one. Rainbow Sessions were created because as an Elementary Education teacher, I saw the need for these skills: self-awareness, self-management, social-awareness, relationship skills and making responsible decisions. Unfortunately, our schools are not designed to address these critical needs. Teachers are incredibly stressed trying to meet academic needs, yet children are inaccessible if they do not have their social-emotional needs met. Rainbow sessions are aimed to foster the skills and understandings that children need in order to feel successful in the classroom and beyond. As a former reading and math tutor, I see the value in Rainbow Sessions to be an even greater need in our community. My hope is to provide the support to foster compassion, reflectiveness and peace in the little humans in our community.
